Recently I watched the 1961 movie “Fanny” staring Leslie Caron, Maurice Chevalier, Horst Buchhols, Charles Boyer.
The movie brought back memories of the time when I hiked in Europe during the 1960 -61.
I recorded this adventure in my autobiography, ‘Notes and Clippings’-
Page 105 “We left Spain and were on our way back to France on June 1, 1960. Marion, Jacqui and I were travelling with our new friends, were now travelling with our new American friends, Chan, Bruce, Ashley and an Italian fellow, Piero.
Page 106: ‘Our first ride came an hour later when a fellow picked us up and drove us straight to Marseilles.
It was another hot day. At the ‘Vieux Port, we saw the filming of ‘Fanny’ starring Leslie Caron, Maurice Chevalier and Charles Boyer.'
